Analytics for Creators: The Only Numbers That Actually Matter

Analytics can be overwhelming. Here are the only five numbers you need to track.

1. Revenue

The ultimate metric. How much money came in this month? Track it weekly and monthly. Everything else is a means to grow this number.

2. Conversion Rate

What percentage of store visitors actually buy something? A healthy conversion rate for digital products is 2-5%. If yours is under 1%, your product page needs work.

How to improve it: Better product descriptions, social proof, clearer pricing, stronger CTAs.

3. Traffic Sources

Where are your visitors coming from? Instagram? Google? Email? This tells you where to double down and what's not working.

What to look for: Which source sends visitors who actually buy (not just browse).

4. Average Order Value (AOV)

How much does each customer spend on average? Increasing AOV is often easier than getting more traffic. Try product bundles, order bumps, or upsells.

5. Customer Return Rate

What percentage of customers buy from you again? Repeat customers are the most profitable segment. If nobody comes back, you have a product or experience problem.

Where to See This

AwayBase's analytics dashboard shows you revenue, orders, and visitor data in real time. No spreadsheets, no third-party tools — just the numbers you need on one screen.

The Weekly Review

Spend 15 minutes every Monday reviewing these five metrics. That's it. Don't overthink it. Notice trends, make one adjustment, and check again next week.

Consistent small improvements compound into massive growth.
