How to Build a Landing Page That Actually Converts
The anatomy of a high-converting landing page — and how to build one without hiring a designer.

A great landing page can convert 5-10% of visitors into customers. A bad one converts under 1%. Here's the difference.
The Hero Section
Your headline should state the outcome, not the product. "Learn Photography" is weak. "Take Photos Your Friends Think Are Professional" is compelling.
Below the headline: one sentence of supporting text and a clear CTA button.
The Problem Section
Before you sell the solution, agitate the problem. Make visitors feel understood. "You've watched 50 YouTube tutorials but your photos still look flat." This builds the emotional case for your product.
The Solution
Now introduce your product as the answer. Show what's inside, how it works, and what results they can expect. Use images, screenshots, or video previews.
Social Proof
Testimonials, customer counts, star ratings, logos. Anything that shows other people trust and value what you sell. Place social proof throughout the page, not just in one section.
The Offer
State clearly:
The CTA
Repeat your CTA button at least 3 times on the page — after the hero, after the features, and at the bottom. The button text should be action-oriented: "Get Instant Access" beats "Submit."
Building It
With AwayBase's visual page builder, you can create landing pages with drag-and-drop sections — hero banners, feature blocks, testimonials, FAQs, and CTA sections. No code required.
