Live Cohort vs. Evergreen Courses: Which Model to Choose
Compare delivery models and pick the right one for your course business.

Two main models: live cohorts and evergreen. Each has tradeoffs.
Live Cohorts
Students go through together. Start and end dates. Live sessions, group energy. Higher engagement, community feel. More work for you — you're "on" during the cohort.
Best for: High-ticket courses, community-dependent learning, when you want to maximize transformation
Evergreen
Students enroll anytime. Self-paced. Watch when they want. Scales infinitely. Lower engagement, but you're not tied to a schedule.
Best for: Lower-ticket courses, info products, when you want passive income
The Hybrid
Open enrollment a few times per year. Students get access to a community or live Q&As during "cohort windows." Combines flexibility with community.
Revenue Math
Cohort: 50 students × $497 = $24,850 per launch. 2 launches/year = ~$50k. Evergreen: 20 sales/month × $197 = $3,940/month = ~$47k/year. Similar revenue, different effort.
